It's amazing that they actually lost to Rutgers and Temple earlier in the season.
They've really come together and with a win against South Florida on Saturday, They'll probably play Nebraska in the Fiesta bowl on New Years day.
Also, It's to bad that BC is afraid to play us... I'd love to see us kick they're a$$ all over the field!!
Ugh...those losses were absurd. My brother and his friends went to the Rutgers game and we still can't explain that loss.
A family friend of mine is the ST coordinator at temple so needless to say, that was a rough loss to take as well...
This Saturday should be an easy game for us, although given recent history...you can never be sure with our god forsaken QB situation...
Who'd have thought even as recently as 5 years ago that we'd be playing schools like ND and be on our way to BCS games? It truly all starts and ends with Edsall...just as our bball teams are direct results of Calhoun and Auriemma...
I started in 1977, I think he was a year ahead of me. He was the 3rd or 4th string QB, a big physical specimen but I don't think he every understood the palybook . I played for the Ice Hockey team and was friendly with a bunch of the football players--when their season was over they would play for us. Bill Hurley, the starting QB dislocated my thumb with a slap shot and once got me sick on skoal BEFORE a game.
I think Edsall actually lived in my dorm my freshman year.
but really its pretty awesome for a school thats been DI for less than a decade to be on the door step to a BCS bowl, no matter how flawed the system is if they win on saturday its great for the program and the university
