They snapped a 26-game road losing streak today with their OT win at Tampa Bay. Living in Michigan, it is almost impossible not to feel sorry for their fan base. They love their team but have been beaten down to a level that is extremely rare. Detroit has one playoff win since 1957, and that was almost 20 years ago. We, as Jets fans, have had our guts ripped out several times over the years. No matter how many times we see it, it still hurts. The Lions' fan base has actually developed an immunity to gut-wrenching games. They take it with a grain of salt. It's kinda scary.
So, while I am thoroughly enjoying a historic win over the Steelers today... the Lions deserve a shout out too IMO.
