Thread: After The Steelers Game, Not Sure We're Going To Win Another Game This Season

  1. #21
It's the ninth time in 10 games we've been rewarded for playing badly. Just reinforces the fact that the offense can be mismanaged and take the week off and they'll still win.

Some think today was an epic win, something memorable. It makes me sick. We played horribly. Yeah, 'better to win than lose' blah blah I get that. If we've got Lombardi aspirations, Sunday was about as far from that as possible.

You realize there are two teams in each game and the other team tries to do bad things to our team
Phil Simms just told Boomer and Carton that he would not be surprised to see the Jets in the AFC CHampionship game again.

Now, I would be surprised, But Phil farging Simms wouldnt be.

So this Sar, he will be surprised, but maybe not, since he wouldnt tell us.

    He'll do a I knew it thread.
LOL.

Easily the closest thing to a complete game that we've played the entire season
This. This right here is the problem.

If that's the closest we've come to a complete game, then we are not gonna go very far in the playoffs.

The defense was especially shaky in the 2nd half, particularly in the 4th quarter. The coverage was horrible. Receivers had wide open space to catch many passes untouched. That was not how a defense should protect a lead. The Steelers were advancing the ball with impunity. We're lucky it didn't turn into more points.

It was a good win, in the sense that it's good to win. (let that dose of brilliance settle for a second).

+1... All people here see is the win, they don't see that we played crappy. If that was our most complete game of the year than I feel bad for us. Week 3 vs. New England was easily our best game (at least the second half ;)).

We let a bad offense throw all over us like Big Ben was Tom Brady. We gave up 6 3rd and 15+'s for 1st downs. We could not move the ball or score in the red zone. We again didn't have more TD's than FG's. We again didn't have a passing touchdown. Our only TD's came from a kick return and a gimmick play that would of been stuffed if Palamalou was in. Give me a break guys and wake up. We're not that good, SAR is right.

You guys won't agree with me I'm sure until we lose to Buffalo. That should wake most of you up and send the homers that are back, gone into hibernation again. I want us to win more than anything, but I'm sorry I don't have my blinders on like the rest of you. Were not good and won't be until we fix our pass rush and safety and get an OC that actually knows how and when to call the right plays. But until then keep dreaming guys, I'm sorry you don't see it right now but you will.

Our QB nearly threw away the game.

Our OC's playcalling on our last drive guaranteed the Steelers would get the ball back.

Our RB's still look worse than last year.

Our pass rush consisted of one busted play by a Pittsburgh o'lineman.

Without a miracle KO TD in the first seconds of the game, we lose.

Playing bad teams = Jets win.

Playing good teams on their worst day = Jets win.

This season can't end fast enough. Go Bears.
