Which has 0% relevance to the Jets needing a pass rush.

So whats your point?? Are you saying that not having a pass rush is no big deal?

If it had shown up for the game, it might have.

The Giants are imploding before our eyes, I wouldn't be looking to them for examples of how to do anything.

Well I guess we don't need a pass rush then!

I guess the idea that the Giants would have lost by a wider margin without that DL didn't enter into the thought process.

If anything, yesterday's Giants game is a good exercise in what happens when you don't have a good pass rush. They couldn't get any pressure on Rodgers and they got carved up as a result. When the Giants are able to get pressure on QBs their defense looks dominant.

So yeah... we still need a pass rush.

How many times did Eli get picked off yesterday? Was that the DL's fault?

    LOL

    And?

If you think this team doesn't need to improve their ability to get after the QB, then you're either stupid, blind, or a combination of the two.

We send 6-7 guys after the QB on a routine basis and still can't get to anyone. If we could get consistent pressure on the QB while only sending 4-5 guys then this defense would look damn near unstoppable. You can't expect your corners and safeties to constantly cover receivers for 4+ seconds every time the QB drops back to pass. Even the mediocre signal callers will eat you alive, nevermind the Brady's and Manning's of the NFL.

Improving the DL and adding a legit passrushing OLB should be this teams top priorities.

And thank goodness for that. But you know what else is true? The Giants won't make the playoffs this year. All that talk about how dominant their D-line is -- how good their front 7 is -- yeah, they're gonna be home watching the Jets.
This can't be overstated. This can't be repeated enough. So any Giants sympathies on this board suck a**. They couldn't get it done. They're as good as out. This is the point of the guys thread. F the Giants.

I am on board with the F the Giants sentiment, but first of all they are not eliminated. If GB loses at Chicago (very possible) the Giants are probably in. Second, you would trade our front 7 for theirs in a heartbeat.
