by far, they would hang 5 on the second best team I personally watched (early 90's Sacchi's Milan)

Their domination is obscene. I think their TOP for the year is almost 70%.

Personally, I've never seen the quality of play they display.

Remember that Champions League/European Cup final Milan played against Barca back in the day. Think it ended up 4 zip - one of the most dominant performances I'd ever seen up until then. That Barca team then wasn't short of talent either, but they were pantsed well and truly.

This Barca team however is without doubt the best club team I've ever seen - amazing talent all over the field and several players who can be counted as among the best in the history of the game.

    Ok than how about this;

Are Messi, Xavi and Iniesta product of the system or are Barça just lucky that these three aliens came up at reletively same time so they make the system look better than it is?

Would barca be barca if any of the little-big-three didn't play there?

Those 3 take them to extra terrestrial levels. I think they’d still be fighting for 1st place without them. What makes Barca special, there are only 3 guys who didn’t come out of the Barca School program:

Dany Alves – Not oo Shabby
    Eric Abidal – Doosh
David Silva – Not too shabby

The rest of these guys have been playing together since the of 13.

Losing by 1 on the road and scoring a goal isn't such a bad result. I could be wrong, but a 1-0 win means they advanced. So Arsenal either has to shut them out in Spain or score a bunch of goals. They played well, but they still have the road leg coming up.

If they are the best team ever, it seems any loss at this stage would be a pretty bad result.

1-0 would see Barcelona to the quaters.

As an Arsenal fan, I have 0 faith they can escape Nou Camp. I will say that Arsenal played with tremendous heart in the 2nd half. Jack Wilshere was incredible and that strike from Van Persie to tie it up was great as well. Pep made a poor choice in subbing Villa out.

As for the second match, Arsenal has no where near the defense to park the bus on Barcelona (not many do). They should just attack right from the start and try and get some good runs out of Walcott and Wilshere.

I dislike Arsenal, but I hope they beat Barca at the Nou Camp, then get put out in the next round.

Arsenal played really well on Wednesday, I thought. Van Persie's goal was brilliant, as was Arshavins. Messi missed some absolute sitters, not to mention the goal that should have been.

I'm not a fan of this 'best team ever'.

IT's obvious now, Barcelona is no better than Leyton Orient.

This is definitely not going to help the 'best-ever' believers.

In front of a stadium packed to capacity at just over 9,000 fans. Couldn't believe seeing that equalizer go in in the 88th minute.

You don't seem to be on the bandwagon, TJ & t W, which is fair enough - do you have a nominee in mind who to your thinking might be better than the current Barca team?

I know you're just prodding, but on the road, in CL game agaist one of the better European teams, Barca dominated them..and lost. It's going to happen.

Barca will win the return game by +3 goals.

And even if they don't and Arsenal wins I don't think that would put enough of a dent into Barça's accomplishments over the course of 2.5 seasons to not consider them the best of all time.

They are playing unparalled football imho.

like BD asked; if not Barça then who?
