As far as foreign policy is concerned, democracy in some countries is only good if the people who are sympathetic to your country get in. In many cases countries whether they be right wing, socialist or other may trumpet democracy and praise it as being a good thing in the background they are worried that the devil they knew who may have crapped on his on people but played nice with them is now gone and something new and more of an annoyance may step into power, or that the country itself will become unstable due to various factions fighting for power.
