Just tied into a conversation I was having with Betsy...

What is the most abused drugs in the world?
    Prescription drugs.

    How do you stop it?
Pharmaceutical Company "A" makes "X" amount of pills annually. Doctors prescribe "X" amount of prescriptions annually.

If those two amounts don't match...then LE should target the supplier...

    TADA!!! ;)

But they never will. Who doesn't like prescription drugs? :dunno:

OMG!!!!! LOOK OVER THERE!!!! THAT SKATEBOARDER IS SMOKING THE MARIJUANA!!! KILL HIM!!!! Oh wait. His dad popped 4 oxys and then hopped in the minivan? That's cool....that's cool....

    Ta-da???

How can there be "X" amount of prescriptions if there are only "X" amount of pills manufactured?

    Glad you're no accountant, dude.
And the part where he says 'he's done' is laughable
He made the same claim in '96 after he went AWOL (on blow) during the filming of Money Talks and missed most of his scenes. That was some time ago.

His definition of "healed and clean" is being sober for a day, which means it's safe to resume partying again 'cause he has the power to heal himself.

Maybe he'll pull a Ken Caminiti or Gram Parsons - or Chris Farley.
F' "Two and a Half Men".

CBS should just have a "Charlie Cam". Strap it to the guy's head and give him $1 million a day and just set him loose. The ratings would be phenomenal.
I'd pay to watch that.
Fixed.

Most guys I heard rambling like this were in handcuffs or behind bars.

Dont know how he can repeatedly admit his drug abuse publicly and not get targeted by LE for arrest. He has to have suppliers, enablers, runners...

Huge double standard at play here.

And how he still has any custody or rights to see his kids is beyond me.
If CNN was smart, they would replace that snooze fest Piers Morgan with Charlie Sheen.
He was a guest on PM last night. It was money.

Law of demand...more prescriptions means more drugs will be manufactored.

    Glad you're no economist, dude.

He was interviewed on Today with the two housemates he calls "the Goddesses". At least one has a porn history I believe. Trust me, this will be a reality show if Charlie lives long enough.

Haha, if you only knew how unfortunately dominating math/finance and economics are to my mode of income....

You are quite dense if you don't understand that prescriptions =/= drugs produced (not that I'm calling you dense per-say...I'm sure you can handle this type of reasoning, granted I don't know you past your two posts in this thread)..

    Here, I'll spell it out:

    Prescriptions: X1
    Drugs Manufactured: Y1

When X1>Y1, production for Y1 increases to meet X1 at a point of equilibrium. We refer to this as Supply meeting Demand.

Plumber mixed up the terminology and ascribed "X" to both prescriptions and drugs manufactured, but methinks with a wee bit of intuition, (and a wee bit less of trying to seem like a big man and put someone down on the internet), your genius accounting/math/economist brain would have figured that out.

Regardless, his initial point still stands. Drug dealers selling narcs under the infuriating cover of legal prescriptions, are just as devastating to the welfare of our society as the crooks on the streets selling weed to a skateboarder.

    ", dude."

Yeah genius, by changing one of the "X" variables the math makes sense. My point exactly. Just playing with Kahn.

It's you who needs to get off your high horse and quit acting like a highfalutin flaming load. You both obviously missed my orig point. Doosh.

That report is about doctors who over-prescribe for cash, and "patients" who sell the drugs on the street at inflated prices for cash. Old news.

I responded to your "solution" that required that the # of prescriptions "match" the number of pills manufactured, which translates to prescriptions written for 1 pill each.

Just pointing that out before greenwichhineyload got his knickers in a twist.

Awwwww man....I'm so sorry bro. I didn't know you and "Kahn" were play buddies like that!

I believe your original point was that you were glad PlumberKHAN was no accountant, and that I was "no math teacher or economist." I don't believe I missed your "orig point." Maybe you may have missed your "orig point"?

But please, allow yourself to take internet message board banter personally...it fits you well.

edit: one last thing: "changing one of the X variables" keeps the "math" in plumber's case the same, smartypants. You see, X takes the place of a number...regardless of how many times you want to refer to that number. So changing one X changes all the Xs, so the "math" doesn't actually change. Maybe what you meant to say was that changing one of the variables from X to Y, changes the equation (although not necessarily the math)??

Don't take it personally inner, I'm "just playing" too.
