    He's the greatest filmaker of all time.. the same way Kerouac is the greatest American author.

    I believe he belongs with the greats. Writer, director of stage and screen, actor; an artist who--for a long while--actually lived up to the title of auteur. I don't believe Shakespeare has ever been captured on film better than Welles' efforts.
