    Ipod/Itunes help

Question for someone smarter than I am:

I had to reformat my IMac.
Stupidly, I didn't save my Itunes catalog.

Now all of my music is on my Ipod, but not my computer.
I can't add to or create song lists.

Is it possible to transfer my Itunes catalog from my Ipod to my Imac?
I tried everything I could think of and was only able to transfer the music I actually purchased off the Apple website.

Everything I burned off cd's and stuff I couldn't figure out.

    Any ideas?

    thanks in advance....

There are ways via software and Apple themselves to restore iTunes from an iPod.

Go to Apple > Help and search in iTunes help for transferring a library from an iPod to a new computer (it's the same thing). Songs, Playlists, Ratings, all of it.

Or dump all your mp3s off your iPod back onto your computer, then re-add them into your new library. I think there is a free program out there called i-Dump

There's a program called Senuti that you can download. I believe it allows you to transfer 1,000 songs for free. If you have more than that, I think it costs about $20 or so for unlimited. There are other options and I'm sure you can find a way to do it entirely for free, but this is the only one I'm familiar with and it's simple.
