    YOUR Ideal Draft

Combine is over, pro days are winding down, so let's see what everybody wants on draft day. Let's try to keep the predicted values reasonable.

    Here goes...

1- Christian Ballard, DE, Iowa - Stud.
3- Jabaal Sheard, OLB, Pitt - I really hope he falls this far.
4- Jalil Brown, CB, Colorado - Big, fast, physical. Can he help at FS?
5- Tyrod Taylor, QB/ST/WR, Virginia Tech - Better passer than he gets credit for. I would love to know his answer when asked how he feels about playing kick coverage.
6- Ugo Chinasa, OLB, Oklahoma State - Superb athlete but a project. Boom or bust.
7- Kris Durham, WR, Georgia - 6'5" 215 with 4.4 speed and GREAT hands.

IDK much about Durham, but he seems to good to be true that late in the draft. What are the concerns that drop him?

What would be interesting is to see a best case scenario (worst case for Jets fans) Patriots mock. I'm a little nervous, just saying.

Thing I hate yet can somewhat admire about the Patriots is that they just take who they think are the best players. I don't think they care. Made Bruschi an ILB, Mayo wasn't suppose to be a 34 guy. They play guys like Wilfork and Brace at DE. Vrabel etc etc. If what Beer has down is there first 4 picks I could definitely live with that though.

    1: Muhammed Wilkerson - DE/DT
    3: Ras I-Dowling - FS/CB
    4: Greg Little - WR
    5: Kendrick Ellis - DL
    6: Greg Romeus - DE
    7: Alex Henery - K

    Something like that...

    Would also accept:

    1: Cameron Heyward - DE/DT
    3: Edmund Gates - WR
    4: Jerrell Powe - NT
    5: Mike Mohammed - LB (3-4 ILB)
    6: Deunta Williams - FS
    7: Steve Friday - DE/LB

I feel like Powe might fall lower...guy's gonna be a steal anyway...I think there's a million drafts I'd like and a million I would dislike...I expect some kind of mix.

If Wilkerson/Heyward were both off the board:

    1: Christian Ballard
    3: Ras-I Dowling
    4: Greg Little
    5: Jerrell Powe
    6: Cliff Matthews
    7: Alex Henery

I don't have a list of players, but my ideal draft would add some depth to our offensive line. Woody is gone, so we're currently at 7 offensive linemen. Turner backing up the center and both guard spots, and Hunter as the extra linemen in the jumbo sets and the backup at both tackle positions.

We've been very lucky with injuries on the O-line, and for a team that's built on running the ball, we have virtually no depth at those positions. We're short on picks, but I hope we take at least one linemen.

I don't really know, to be honest. I'm guessing production is the main concern with him. He might wind up going higher than I have him right now.

He also didn't get a ton of playing time at Georgia... wasn't invited to any of the major post-season college all-star games and didn't get an invitation to the combine either. He was probably a guy who was not going to be drafted before this amazing pro day -- He was a little off the radar.

But I've got a feeling after running 4.4 at that size, some teams are going to really dig into the tape on him and they'll find some bright spots buried in there.

For the pats and what i think the probabilty of the players being there.

17 Quinn about a 10% chance of this happening, similar to Wilfork dropping.
28 Heyward or Wilkenson 90% chance
    33 Pouncey 50%
    60 Iljanna 50%
    74 Demaco Murray 50%
92 Tandon Doss or Greg Little 50%
    125 Shancee Wright 25%

I think this is a bit unrealistic, but who knows!

It would be one hell of a haul.

    Here's another from me...

1- Marvin Austin, DE, North Carolina
    3- James Brewer, OT, Indiana
4- Deunta Williams, FS, North Carolina
5- Steven Friday, OLB, Virginia Tech
6- Markus White, DE/OLB, Florida State
7- Colby Whitlock, DL, Texas Tech
