HBO film on 2008 Election

Was going to post this in the hamper since people like to discuss movies there, but will I suspect this thread will turn ugly, but whatever...

It's going to be based on the book Game Change by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, which is about the 2008 election I've been meaning to pick up this book.

Anyways they already cast someone for McCain and Palin. Ed Harris will play John McCain, and Julianna Moore will play Sarah Palin

Is this going to be more fapping material over a black man getting elected President?

I'm not sure if his election is a big part of this project, I've read he story line will focus on John McCain and him picking Sarah Palin to be his VP.

But if they cast someone to play Barack Obama, Harry Lennix would be a solid choice.

I just finished reading Game Change.

If HBO did what you said and focused on Palin, they would be doing a great disservice to the book.

The book is divided into three parts.
Part 1 consists of the first fourteen chapters and is about the Democratic primary race between Obama and Clinton as well as the Edwards affair.
Part 2 covers the next three chapters and is about the Republican primary race.
Part 3's final six chapters describe the fall campaign between Obama and John McCain

    Very enjoyable read.

    Sucky Ending. :D

Oh yes..Clinton comes off as a wounded sympathetic figure in those attacks....
he tried to control his emotions in response but ultimately couldn't.

Funny thing is Clinton didn't blame Obama as much as he blamed the media...saying they ate up everything Obama said..they lived for writing trash like that.

Best line I remember from Clinton was that the media favored Obama so much because "they are afraid of being on the wrong side of history".

I still don't see it. They did up her hair and gave her glasses, but she doesn't resemble Palin at all.
