He has New Orleans trading their pick to Buffalo so the Bills can pick up Mallet.

He has us trading down with the Titans so they can pick up Ponder.

Kirwan's mocks are about as realistic as my dream to go down on Jessica Biel. His trade "scenarios" are possible, but some of the stuff before that is looney tunes.

Why wouldn't that douche sack change the logos after the trades?

Belichick should write this down and do it. 4 solid prospects in the first 2 rounds a 2nd and a 3rd for next year, plus 5 picks remaining in this years draft including 2 - 3rd rounders

for all those Phil Taylor fans I want to know is this player better than Pouha, who was a 3rd rounder?

the dude would have to be Jenkins and he's not even close.

they can find another NT they don't need to draft one and saddle him with 1st round expectations

d--k-lickers will be in the forums all like "Phil Taylor has played for 5 years and only has 2 sacks, what gives?"

put it another way the Jets taking Phil Taylor to replace Jenkins is like the Falcons taking Kyle Rudolph to replace tony G. These guys won't live up to their predecessors... and even if they are solid will be viewed as disappointments.

final point the Jets run D is top 5 every year without Jenkins. it's a problem that doesn't need fixing

Open your frigging eyes will you.the teams the jets need to beat with the exception of the pats and the colts all run the Ball. When we played the steelers, they ran all over us,both times. The bloody bungles ran all over us.When we face a team that runs the ball as it's focal point,we struggle. We need a run force in the middle, and the reason we do it better without Jenkins is because he is what all you guys want in a DE.We don't need a dL who can get to the QB,just guys who can do their job and keep the 5 OLmen off the lBers and any other blitzer we send.

Pouha,Devito and whatever else we have offer zero passrush. That's what we need along the defensive line along with a Player who can control the center and either guard.

    Taylor offers this.

So no need to draft Dline next year, or the year after or the year after. Also no need at all to worry about NT depth, lets expose one of the top features of our D (stopping the run) to age and lack of depth.

If Phil Taylor is a better player in the eyes of the scouts than reed then take the best player. In the long run your team is better off for it.

So the Jets will never draft a NT again

The Pats will never find someone better than Brady, they are going to look funny playing every week with no QB. They could not draft one of course because no matter who it is he will not be better than Brady...

    Are you drinking tonight?

I'm not a fan of taking Taylor because I agree with you that Pouha is fine for the time being. But your analogy is stupid. If Tony G. was retiring (or getting ineffective) they should absolutely consider Kyle Rudolph. Should a team not draft a replacement for fear of that guy not living up to his predecessor?

Why can't you leave it at "The Jets don't need Phil Taylor?"

Just for shiggles....he's bigger...got like a decade of youth on Pouha...more athletic...more potential against the pass...

A trade down like this would be perfect. We could move down to 39 and still get someone that lots of people want taken at 30 while gaining a few more mid round picks. Love it. This is the year to do it.

    d!cklickers on forums???

compared to whom?? the forum gods who chase their tails like a dog defending vernon gholston when it was obvious to the amateur it was bad news from the get-go??? or sat here and clamored for a fat sh!t like terrence cody based on how "awesome" his tape was??? or how about the dopes who never learn- the ones who get excited about olympic type workouts for mediocre players year after year??

considering your sad history and limited knowledge despite grand delusions you got balls referring to others as d!cklickers...

here's a newsflash- Pouha is 32 YO and has been a good player- not an All Pro like tony g....here's more that you don't know about because you've not read it yet- right now Taylor is the Jets guy....could change in the next two weeks but if the draft were held today and he's available @30 that's the way they are going...

not a huge Taylor fan myself but the fact is the guy has top ten ability- whether he'll play to that level every week is another story altogether...

btw- should also add; Pouha's got 2.5 sacks in five years and no one complains about him...and even the novice could figure out that he's got the movement skills and ability to line up as a 3-4 DE in Ryan's system, ala ngata as they work Taylor in- assuming that's the choice in two weeks...
