Not for nothing, its was way too soon for this to begin with, but now considering this is the same week we killed Usama Bin Laden, this just seems like a total farce. The whole country is rivted to news about the military operation than took down the most evil man in the world, and these boobs are talking about an election thats a year and a half away.

I'm a Republican and a Conservative, but this kind of stuff just makes us look silly. At the very least they should have cancelled and re-scheduled for a later date after we took out Bin Laden.
To be fair, this has been planned for months, maybe longer. The people who set this up probably invested a lot in it, but you do make a good point, considering what has happened, it obviously didn't seem right, but compared to other election cycles, starting this early out of the ordinary.

I watched the debate, the only one on that stage who I can honestly picture being president in Tim Pawlenty.

Paul didn't "win" that debate. If anything, Herman Cain won the debate overwhelmingly, according to a focus group of SC Republicans.
Today, Paul has won the first of many debates in the 2012 campaign. This time his supporters are too numerous and important to both Fox News and the individual state GOP party leadership for them to again ban him from the debates regardless of how much they want to silence his freedom and free-market message.
