oh poli, I'm serious. It appears that the rectum's reception of low-temperature items causes the brain-signals to focus on muscular activity that area, short-circuiting the restless leg signals and rendering them "asleep." Filling the bladder also causes the brain to focus on those pee-stop muscles, further eliminating the overactive signals to the wrestless legs.

DWC2, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Sounds like servicing yourself might help as a short term solution.
ok, I know a lot of the regulars here are going to mock you, but I can relate to this issue. One of the guys at the firehouse had the same condition (and it is a medical condition -- don't let anyone minimize what you're going through!). After exhausting all traditional medical advice, he finally saw a homeopathic doctor -- and started relieving his symptoms that night. The trick was to put 3 glycerin suppositories in the freezer for at least 12 hours, and then insert them right before bedtime. Another key was to drink 24 ounces of water right before turning in -- but not allowing yourself to get up to pee until the morning. After 3 weeks of doing this, he was fine.

Good luck. Please keep us posted.
The story of a terminally stat driven teenage boy who falls for a messageboard who likes to make fun of and abuse the boy with aid from stories such as the boy having to wear dolphins jerseys to appease the ghost of the young boy's grandmother thus causing the boy to go on lengthy kamikaze posts only to reappear on said messageboard at later dates. The boy also seeks reassurance for his wrestless legs syndrome.

Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) is a serious neurological condition. There are approved drugs available that have marginal efficacy. One belief is that the gateway that prevents your voluntary muscles from doing things like running or punching in a dream is at fault. That would make RLS very similar to myoclonic seizures.

But like others have said, the first thing I would do if I suspect something is wrong with me is to learn how to spell it correctly. Then I would probably look it up on teh Googles and see if the symptoms described fit what I was experiencing. Only then would I log onto a sports website like Jets Insider and ask for advice. After that, I might consider a doctor. Maybe.
