On my way to Narragansett *****es!

Leaving in about an hour for some fun in the sun, some great food and wine and that gorgeous beach town.

Be back Wednesday night for U2 at NMS (don't say it Ruby--I voted for you ;)).

3-1/2 hours from now, this will be my view :D

Went to URI and lived in Narragansett for 3 years. Awesome town. Lived less than a mile from The Coast Guard house.

Try the Blueberry Newport Storm, it's awesome.
Make sure you hit up the Mew's, 69 beers on tap.
Casey's & Charlie O's are pretty good too.

    ENJOY!

Back already--wish I had known about Mews. Ate at the Coast Guard House, Turtle Soup (in our B & B), George's, Aunt Carries, Iggy's, Crazy Burger and Monahans. Almost took a drive up to Jamestown but didn't want to risk it.

Cocktails a few times coming back from the beach at the Guard House and Turtle Soup.

If you go back, the Mews is in Wakefield which is less than 5 minutes from the Coast Guard House.

Also, the Red Parrot in Newport is great too if you venture over to Newport. Great food and not to pricey compared to typical Newport prices.

A lot of people own summer houses in Narragansett and rent it out to college students from Labor Day - Memorial Day. The students will pay for the mortgage and then some. Def a wise investment for anyone with the extra cash and looking for a summer house up there.

Been to Newport a lot. Love the Red Parrot. Spent a great day during an absolute downpour just sitting in one of the open windows they have drinking Red Parrot Ale on tap.

The Narragansett Cafe in Jamestown has great blues and dance bands on weekends, no cover. Good beer. Try it next time, too.

When were you at Rhody? I was there in the early-mid 90s and lived in RI for about 20 years. I lived all over South County and love the Narragansett - Charlestown area. One of my favorite places in the world.
