And then slowly, over the course of a month, start dressing like Michael Douglas did in the movie.
What do you mean "start?"

Shakin's hat WAS stupid and little, but no reason to kill him over it.

Knowing what I know about you, I can't tell whether you intend for this to be an insult or a compliment.
I've seen my fair share of scumbags in my career, but I've got to say some of the people I work with are just truly evil.

I've lost my motivation to work due to these asshoIes. I feel the only way to change things is from the inside.

I have no pull and no hooks. I came from the bottom up and tried my best in whatever I did. Thick skin only goes so far and now I'm having trouble containing my temper.

We are in the same line of work as you may know. You are there to make money for the fam not make friends for your ego. Take your emotions out of everyting that happens in that building- it's far more unhealthy to stress over inter office politics than it does some junkie in a project hallway who wants to take a swing at you.

People who don't take the work BS personally are playing chess...everyone else checkers.

When I got on, we were a family. Everyone watched each others backs, everybody got along. Somewhere along the line, promotions were made, people thought they were better than each other and jealousy reigned.

I hear you Dimitri. But what you said is true, people change as they advance or with the chance to advance. I deal with the same jerkoffs at my job, and they're civil servants. The only impression they need to make for advancement is on a test, but still they will screw over fellow co-workers for the chance to curry favor.

Don't let it get you down, bro.

I love when the beggar in the park asks him for money because he was a 'Nam vet.

"What were you, a drummer-boy? You must have been 10 years old!"

I think this is how Vernon felt as well. No wonder he didn't feel motivated.

Sitting on a conference call right now. I hate it when someone hijacks the meeting and asks lots of dumb questions---just to make themselves sound important.

53 minutes into the call and we haven't gotten off of the first agenda item. What a waste of time. :steamin:

Thanks goodness for "mute" and surfing JI. :D
