    Number 80

Has any player worn number 80 since Chrebet? And if not when are they going to retire his jersey.

if they retire Chrebet's 80 and not Toon's 88 that's wrong. JMO they shouldn't retire either. Both were hall of great not hall of fame.

Curtis' 28 is on the cusp as well... if he gets into the Canton they kinda have to retire it.

If they any number gets retired before Winston Hill, Don Maynard or Joe Klecko, it's a major crime....

There haven't been any great all-time Jets in recent years. Chrebet and Martin were really good, but not all time great jets. They didn't take us to a Super Bowl, let alone win one and Martin played a good chunk of his career in New England.

Revis, Sanchez, Dbrick, Mangold are significantly more likely/deserving of getting their numbers retired. Especially revis, Dbrick and Mangold.

    Three years a good chuck?

Sanchez and Dbrick? lets let them finish there career first, Revis I could see, but remember we had the best corner in the league with glenn andd not one remembers him now, Mangold I love mangold sure y not

Yep..... I am also partial to Wesley Walker 85.

    Another honoring method....

UNC hangs jerseys in the rafters of the Dean Dome of the basketball players that either:

    1) named an All-American or POY ACC
    2) make the NBA
    3) Play on an olympic team,

There are a LOT of jerseys up there.... less than a handful are retired.

dunno, but it better not be before they've retired 85 (Wesley Walker) and 88 (Al Toon).

You asked about Chrebet getting his number retired and I don't think he ever made a pro bowl. Although I see that he was twice Directtv player of the week. Like mentioned before, what is so special about Chrebet, aside from being white?

As for Dbrick, Mangold and Sanchez, yeah they have plenty to prove still, but guys like Martin and Chrebet are already retired, so their resumes are complete and fairly lackluster, especially Chrebet.

Sanchez is already this franchise's QB leader for playoff wins, Dbrick is already a 2 time pro bowler and Mangold is already a 3 time pro bowler.

And please never put Aaron Glenns name in the same sentence as Revis. Revis has already matched Glenns 3 pro bowl appearances and will likely double or triple his number.
