    [QUOTE=JStokes;4105996]You and your Coldplay.

I can honestly say I have no idea who or what Coldplay is. But I do seem to remember it being somehow aligned with SAR at some point, which probably means it's either a boy-band or in the league of the legendary Chalkboard vs. Yoko Ono's Fingernails three-album set.

Coldplay rose up and refined their sound as an alternative band, just like U2 did. Both have achieved great success through a loyal (large) fan-base.

'Course, some people still get themselves in a tizzy when Q104 "Gets the Led Out" or plays "Freebird" for the eleventy-billionth time. To each their own.

    Please do not mention U2.

    And Coldplay.

    In the same sentence.

    Ever again.

I hate to admit it--but nothing quite so fancy.

Plain and simple Frank's Lousiana Hot Sauce.

The secret is in the wings and the cooking.

I ONLY use Perdue Oven Stuffer Wingettes--never the little wings with the hairy tips on them. You have to use a meaty wing.

I pat them down very dry and I grill them very slowly until they are crispy golden brown--the sauce just gets soaked up into them.

I throw them in a large tupperware and dump in a goodly amount of hot sauce to fully cover and leave a small pool at the bottom, put the lid on and shake violently.

You will note the top will bow outward as the gasses and heat is emitted by the wings.

But here's the best part--what I like to call the "Texas Book Depository Effect".

Ask an unsuspecting guest--young children are usually the most trusting--and ask them to put their nose up to the edge of the tupperware and inhale as you pop the edge of the lid.

The fumes entering the nasal cavity will shoot an intense pain through the sinuses into the back of the cranium--not unlike what I would imagine Kennedy felt as Oswald delivered his magic bullet.

But you can only get someone with it once.

    Stupid people MAYBE twice.

That might be difficult if you're trying to use Stokes's recipe.

I'll never understand why guys wax on poetic about wanting a different girl, fantasizing about ________, but when it comes to their music they are defensively content to stay true to the ol' battleaxe of "Stairway to Heaven" or "Riders of the Storm".

Try some new stuff, you just might gain an appreciation for it, sticks in the mud.

Fair enough, I was just throwing them out there to help my point along.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of classic rock, but I do like my newer stuff as well.

What was this thread about, again?
