So, one of my mother-in-laws has GI tract problems and in order to see what's going on in her intestines, they decided to take endoscopic pictures --but not the normal way you would with a scope.

With a freakining mini-camera in a pill that she literally swallowed.

Seriously, the size of an extra strength Advil--you swallow it and it wirelessly transmits about 900,000 pictures to a DVD over an 8 hour period as it winds it's way down your GI tract. It has no battery, it derives it's energy for the camera, light and computer chip in the pill from an set of wires attached to your chest.

And when you poop it out you flush it because all the info has already been transmitted--it has no film.

I know, cool story Bro--but it's pretty incredible.

Although I couldn't help wondering-- would you dig it out of your poop?

You know, as a keepsake? :O

    _
Firstly, I hope the surgery goes well with your MIL tonight.

But, I forget how the the Mother-in-Laws (plural) works....do you refer to your currentl GF's mother as your MIL?

I know it works well with you, but having two MILs could be the basis for a sitcom. I know, for my wife, it would be the basis for a nightmare.
Oh I rip off jokes all the time. Hell, 99.9% of my posts here are copy/paste jobs from the "Kids Who Hid In Department Store Clothing Racks While Their Mom Was Shopping" Facebook page. You'd be surprised how easy it is to find context without even trying.
I got to my quasi-weekly poker game late last night. There were a few new guys at the table. Within the first hour, I threw out some of my standard recycled jokes ("I've seen better....but not many') and these guys all chuckled slightly uncomfortably and said (pointing to my buddy and game regular) "Yeah, he threw that one out about 5 minutes before you came..." and two minutes later "Yeah, we heard that one too..."

I think I need new material.

    I would.
But first I would chop off southside's arm and then use that as a primitive rake to flail at my leavings.

No, that would be THREE mother's-in-law, and that ain't happening :D

My wife's parent's got divorced when she was in college and her Dad (my father-in-law) remarried.

So I have my wife's Mom AND my wife's step-mom as mothers-in-law (and grandmas to my kids).

Considering my wife passed away I think it sucks that I have TWO mother's in-law and NO WIFE. :steamin:

I should get a ruling on that.

:dunno: What benevolent diety will step to the plate against TWO mothers-in-law?

    I disagree.

A man is expressing concern for his mother in law's well-being. I find that admirable.

I don't see how photographs would add to this thread at all.

My thoughts and prayers are with the original poster's family.

Obviously, you're going through a rough time.

But, don't fall for the false promises that John Barleycorn will make to you during this time of hardship.

Alcohol will only make things worse.

    Rough times?

I was rooting for ONE mother-in-law.

How do you keep escaping the IP search?

Are they doing whippets today in the mod lounge?

I have no idea what you're talking about.

    Obviously, it's the alcohol takling.

Which is totally understandable during this difficult time.
