Comical given that Jacksonville and Miami barely have any fans. The Bears at the bottom? Oh brother.

"Rabid" is completely the wrong word to use.

"Dense" is what he's looking for.

Shameful that Forbes would let it run with a headline like that, I would have thought they'd be above that.

Any list of fan rabidness that doesn't have Jacksonville at the bottom is to be dismissed.

    Forthwith.

just another way for the media to bash the jets.

It's not a chart of "rabid" fans, whoever used that word is misinterpreting what they're saying, all that's a sorting of is what it says "Popularity/Market Size" so basically, it's saying New York is a ****ing big place with lots of interests that don't all include football. Also, that we share a market with the Giants.

so does that mean that the ny mets have the least rabid fans as well, since they play in a huge market but the yankees have way more fans?

The data in the columns make NO sense in so many ways.
Both the popularity and metro areas were indexed with 100 representing the largest figure

metro area population (the New York teams had their metro areas cut in half for this calculation because they share the same market, as did the Oakland and San Francisco teams for the same reason)
If NY had its metro area cut in half, then it should be 50. Half of 100 is not 99.

Houston is the 4th largest city in the county, so it should be 2nd on metro size (since no LA, and NY is 1/2). But they have Houston at only 59—lower than Philly.
popularity (national and local television ratings, traffic the teams’ offical websites draw and how many times they were mentioned on the Internet)
So, when do fans have any control over how many times the team is mentioned in the media?

Why not look at team fan sites, not just the official site?

    Terrible reporting with questionable statistics.

    DUMP

At the same time, I fail to see how our fans could be classified as anything close to rabid when midway through the first quarter the stadium isn't even close to filled yet.
