    Lake was a pretty decent guitar player. Plus, it's nice to have the luxury of Keith Emerson's left hand filling in on "bass".

    I'd say say he was much more than decent. Ever try to play the Sage?

    I think Lake is a tremendous guitar player.

    Poor choice of words on my part. I always respected Lake's playing and songwriting (singing, too).

    No, but just did. To be honest south I didn't listen to much ELP as a kid.
