Rediscovered a song I used to like back in the early 80's Not a big INXS fan but this was a good song.

Love this song. The lyrics are indeed goofy, but they could be la-la-la for all I care. The drums (Phil Collins is one of my all-time favorites) and horns (the Phenix horn section, best known for their work with Earth Wind and Fire) are what make the song great.

I have had the melody going round my head non-stop since posting the video yesterday. Absolutely right about the EWF horns.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59FI374N8kQ A great prog band from the seventies. Only thing against them was there wasn't a great player in the band that stood out, perhaps they wanted it that way.............P.S thanks for that genesis vid Borgo, it was awesome. And i agree with you, the gabriel era was my favorite.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMYCQa5keaI Killer live jam. Wetton and Fripp get the nastiest tone on this jam, real tight. They parted ways way to soon.

Wetton , from first hand accounts was a friggin nightmare to deal with by band mates etc. Great musician, singer but I have heard from a few a real jerk.

no wonder no one lasted with him very long....

Fripp was the same way South Park. had a superiority complex. Its a shame, because they were doing great things, with like group improv and stuff.

Wetton on bass and vocal. Story goes that David Byron was "ill" the day the track was recorded, and Wetton--a member since Gary Thain's death before the recording of Return to Fantasy stepped in. Alcohol would get Byron kicked out of the band a few months later. Sadly, it would claim David's life a few years later.
