Ace Frehely spoke about this album in a CREEM article; just amazing. The perfect song.

BTW Nelson is ****ed up. I wish he wrote more of these tunes; don't like what BBD evolved into. I was hoping for more of that sound like Bowies Scary Monsters band...something...but he's a geek.

Twist that filter one mo' tyme, Billy.

Comment from the Be Bop Delux youtube

Charley died of the big C such a tragic loss those guys in that line up were unbeatable a true live band in every sense of the word bill nelson is in my top three fave guitarists 1.bill nelson 2 rory gallagher 3 gary moore and if there were a number 4 it would be alex lifeson "rush"

Apparently, you can make this stuff up.

Right? No matter the incarnation, that song just never tires.

One poster on YouTube said that the drummer in this version is one of a few who actually get Bonham's beat right. That comment is dead on. Watch that guy play the tune. Perfect.

    +1.

Speaking of Bonham, IMO, there is no song that is crying out more for him on drums than this one. I like the song as it is, but would have been positively transcendent with Bonzo performing. (Ticket to Ride by the Beatles is another song that has me thinking to myself every time I hear it, "man, this song really could have used Bonzo").

LOL. You are so right. That intro is screaming for Bonzo's "hammer of the gods" pound fest.

It's what Phil Collins did, too. A quiet number with him coming in like a freight train in the fills.
