    8/18 Training camp report

Made the trek from central Suffolk to Florham Park today with my sons. First the Jets and their players have a beautiful facility for training. However it's not ideal for viewing practice like Cortland is.
    1) Sanchez too my untrained eye was terrible today. Missed some receivers out there today. Also Mauga had a pick 6 on sanchez during the 11 on 11
2).LT looked quick hitting the gap during practice seems to be as quick as last year.
    3) Under Rex's eye both lines were hitting crisply during drill inside the 10 yd line. Rex loves the hitting that occurs and encourages the players to "get after it". During drill Moore had helmet ripped off by defensive lineman(not sure who it was that hit him)
4)Brunell is really loud calling the cadence compared to Sanchez
    5) Plaxico made several grabs during practice nice to see him participating
6)Courtney Smith #3 sprained his ankle during a WR drill. 5 minutes after icing his ankle he was back out there.(that's life for a UDFA )
    Greene,Pouha,McKnight and Scott didn't practice.

Interesting. You're right. He said he didn't want to use him back there (and frankly we don't need Fair Catch Jim Leonard back there). Maybe they are trying it out because McKnight has a concussion? Not sure.

    Thanks for the report.

NT Sione Pouha (knee) was limited to individual drills and was moving with a noticeable limp

Nice report. I was there also yesterday and could not help but notice how small Maybin is. I know he wants to gain 15 pounds but i'm not so sure that would even matter.

his title says 8/18 training camp report. not sanchez career report.

do you have like an alert that emails you when anything slightly negative is uttered about the jets?

I thought McNight had a concussion? I would think he'd be out for a while if so
