Just because I keep my whiskey consumption domestic, I get blasphemed? (And the fact that I have no idea how to post a picture)?

    You're like 32Green Jr.

That's not such a good thing.

Your choice in libations has nothing to do with this. We like you just fine.

    Tad homo.

Without the hair piece you mean.

And to bring this back on topic.... Just poured my second van winkle 10 year of the evening. Delicious.

Going to Buffalo Trace after this - need to conserve.

I don't know much about Whiskey, so I don't know where it stands in the prestige rankings, but we always have a bottle of Templeton Rye for Hawkeye victories on fall saturdays.

A lot of bourbon distilleries also make a rye. The difference being that bourbon is 50%+ corn with rye being -as you might surmise - majority rye. Some bourbons have a high rye content, others wheat.

Rye is making a comeback - perhaps a bit behind the bourbon curve but somewhat in line with the cocktail craze that often times are rye based (old fashions, manhattans, etc.). Templetons s a good rye - I think I have a bottle somewhere.

    Celebrating my Orangemen win.

Love this stuff, very smooth, not too oaky or too peaty.

You gotta be going out of your mind. Their defensive performance the other night against Indiana was incredible. One of the best shut down efforts I've ever witnessed.

Good luck with the rest of the tournament, muchacho.

    Something New...

Pretty tasty, not at all what I was expecting. Has more of a bite than I am used to from a Highland/Speyside.

    Really enjoying this independent brand:

You'd think the color would equal something with an astringent palate or maybe a weak alcohol content, but neither is the case. It's sweet and aromatic with hint of vanilla, sticks to the side of the glass and is cask strength.

Cool stuff. DT is not so much an Independent Brand as they are genius entrepreneurs. They are not a distillery. They buy their casks, let them age, then bottle and sell them. I wish I had thought of it. Each Dimension label ID's the distillery of origin and even says when it was distilled and then bottled by DT. Where is your bottle from? My money is on a distillery in the Lowlands.
