    Microbrews

Is there a thread on this?

    If so, bring it up.

If not, what are your favorites.

Throw them out there, it's fall, it's football season, time to stock up on some good craft beers, microbrews and the like.:)

    What I had this weekend:

    Stone IPA
    Southern Tier 2x IPA
    Victory Hop Wallop
    Victory Golden Monkey
    Victory Prima Pils
    Victory Storm King Imperial Stout
    Victory Hop Devil
    Victory Yakima Gold
    Blue Point Hoptical Illusion
    Blue Point Octoberfest

All were excellent. Victory Brewing Co., Downington PA, is my new favorite brewery, in case you can't tell. All of their beers are outstanding. The Yakima Gold is exquisite.

    enjoy the journey.

    Question:

Can you get Victory in the liquor store?

I have had Blue Point--solid; had Naragansett recently, loved that one.

Narragansetts are a great beer for a hot summer day.

You should be able to get Victory at any retailer in NJ. I live on the Island so I can't recommend any place specifically.

I picked up Brooklyn Lager and Flying Fish Oktoberfest today for MNF.

    Anyone had either?

I know Brooklyn Brew is real popular, hadn't tried it yet.

60 minute is my personal favorite. Dogfish Head is like the Neil Young of beers...unbelievably great at times, and absolute sh!t at others.

I've been drinking a lot of Denver Pale Ale from Great Divide, and Southern Tier's Harvest lately.

Small wonder. Hey - not sure if a microbrew, but "DUTCH" is like $3 a six pack at Trader Joe's.

At $3 a bottle; this is what I really enjoy:

Do a little research and find out which beer distributors in your area sell growlers (64oz refillable bottle). There's a place near me that always has 8 different beers on tap, the majority of them microbrews and they swap them out with something new after each keg. Fun way to try different beers.

You should visit the Buy Rite near the Holland Tunnel. Great selection. If you can tolerate the younger crown, visit Barcade in Jersey City. Tremendous draft selection and they rotate the menu.

You should try out Zepplin Hall Biergarten in Jersey City.

They have a huge array of beers on tap, changing often.
