Didn't get a scratch. :D

We had all of those Little People toys...the barn, airplane, campler. Used to love the fake 'moo' sound from the barn when you opened and closed the doors.

My favorite was the houseboat-warning:gigantic image
Holy crap!! ... I loved that houseboat and I've been looking for years for it to give to my kids.

Ha ha, i remember the diving board that pulls out and you would see how far you could launch the people. We used to always play with this thing in the kiddie pool, but there was always a drawback - wooden people dont hold up well to water exposure lol

You kids today, you're all too soft. We had toys with sharp metal edges and we didn't know any different.

I always, always, always wanted a pedal car in the worst way but with a big family we couldn;t afford one. I wanted one of those things like Ralphie wanted his Red Rider beebee gun.

Same here - obviously shy away from the jerkoffs overpricing the vintage toys  Ugh.....toys I played with are now 'vintage'.....

Kids these days have electric cars! They don't even have to peddle! Lazy bastids! :shakecane:

Damn straight! Remember the playground? Rusty iron pipe monkey bars with rusty jagged bolts holding it together. And helmets? Pish posh! Your skull is your helmet!

:shakecanewithdamnkidscowl:

And get off the lawn! G'damn it...

In all honesty I think my favorite thing when I was a kid was the go kart my grandfather built for me...I remember him saying it was all about the baby carriage wheels for speed. lol

Our family was too poor to have any commercial toys for presents. I think
the best thing I ever got was a snow shovel so I could shovel the tenement
out in the winter and earn some money to bring home so we could buy a
few chunks of coal for the stove and some heat. It was a hard life but I feel
terrible for Steve Jobs.

Lincoln Logs -- with real wood. Not the plastic they use today.

I enjoyed Slinky as long as there was a staircase I could use it on.

And Etch-A-Sketch, although I wasn't much of an artist, no matter what the medium.
