    +1.

We need to determine the sleepover capacity because I'm not driving home after sipping Bitburgers by BabySchween© pool all day.

Ugh no power for me. Lose it every time

My sister wrecked her car on the parkway last night. Changed lanes, skidded sideways, and went head on into a guard rail. Luckily she's alright. That storm was no joke.

Lost power yesterday afternoon at about 4:30, rumor is it won't be back on till Wednesday. Made Shepard's Pie in the stove top then baked it on the grill. Derlicious. Bitburger beer cold from the snow on the patio and 1792 bourbon.

Bout 7:30 me and the GF went to bed and got up at 9 am.

Had to go to the car to charge my BB so I could even post this.

My street looks like a war zone--literally every tree lining the street is partially or totally down.

    Check in later.

No making fun of me while I'm away. That means you too Crossfire.

I'm sure you'll be back in short order...

Glad to hear you're okay. I'm sure it's just a power shortage...

Surviving a storm like this, persevering by charging your phone in your car and cooking a pie on the grill... that's no small feat.

Just drove two hours to get my next door neighbor who was on an amtrak train that was delayed by two trees that fell on the tracks. As they were waiting for a crew to cut the trees, another tree fell on the train.

Paulie, glad your sister is ok.

And like every day after a weather disaster, it's a gorgeous blue day.

Wow no auxiliary generator? Looks like you spent all your money in all the wrong places.

I don't know whose electric service continuously comes up short more often, North Jersey or Long Island. It's the 21st century for crissakes, being without power is no small thing. If it was me, I'd be more than a little irate at the next town hall meeting. I'd be like a miniature dynamo.

Agreed. You'd have to be small minded not to own one...
