The Patriots Allowed 306 Passing Yards Last Night

And that is why total yardage stats are garbage, and why announcers should stop referring to them during games.

It's like any other stat, useful in context.

Was pretty funny too during halftime when Sanchez already had 137 passing yards, but he "wasn't doing enough" to exploit the Patriots defense.

This should make for a nice high ESPN QBR for Sanchez ...

When taken out of the context of the game, stats can be deceiving.

Total yards last night: Pats 389 Jets 378
Time of possession: Pats 30:07 Jets 29:53

But anyone who watched the game knows it wasn't that close. Two stats that do tell the story:

    Sacks: Pats 5 Jets 0
    Turnovers: Pats 0 Jets 3

    8 negative, game changing plays.

Nope, his QBR was like bottom 5 for the week. QBR punishes harshly for sacks and turnovers, so it's no surprise. Pick-6 too, which counts very negatively (as it should)

Sanchez has never once in almost 3 years been the sole reason we won a game. Good QB's, not just the great ones should at least be able to do this once in 3 years. Some QB's are not a put a team on their back type but you would think at least once in 3 years a QB would be responsible for a win.

We pretty much had the most talent a Jets team has ever had the past couple years but were held back because we have a bad QB..

Until everyone stops and realizes this and stops making excuses, we can move on and start over again.

Alex Smith and Matt Moore even look good at times, does that make them a franchise QB like we say Sanchize is? There are 25 QBs in the NFL that would've taken the Jets to the AFC championship game last year, we were that deep.

I bet you that many of those yards came after the game was lost.

I think your selling Sanchez short. What about all of those comeback wins last year? Sanchez threw those passes.

Sanchez is erratic. He is sometimes good, sometimes bad. When the OL plays bad, Sanchez plays worse.
