While I grant you that "Mr. Fox" is a charmingly sophisticated piece of children's animation, it's not Top 10 material. I may like Mylo Xyloto, but I'm not putting it on any Top 10 LP lists.

I left out a few more that I like, for one reason or another-not necessarily classic films

Spaceballs
Forbidden Planet (A watershed Sci-Fi, a take on The Tempest)
The Waterboy
Elf
Little Nicky
Dr. Zhivago (Patience is key)
Hoodwinked!
Bedazzled (1967)
Oscar (1991)
Meet The Robinsons
Backdraft
Animal Farm (Animated, 1954)
Duck Soup
So I Married An Ax Murderer
The Day The Earth Stood Still
Eating Raoul
The Girl Can't Help It
The Seven Year Itch
Nightmare Before Christmas
Edward Scissorhands
Fish Called Wanda/Fierce Creatures
anything w/ SNL alumni past and present

by a great director, Michael Powell:
The Red Shoes
Black Narcissus
who ruined his career with the now classic
Peeping Tom / Face of Fear

not sure why I like these - maybe I shouldn't but I do

Turk 182!
Everytime We Say Goodbye
Baron Munchausen
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Santa Clause 1 2 and 3
Mafia! (the "drip" scene is offensive but I cant get " run florist" out of my head)
Vegas Vacation

A few more disappointments, IMO

BASEketball (a bad ZAZ movie)
Tron 2 (except for the Ziggy Stardust-like dude)
Dick Tracy (Everyone has makeup like the comic strip except Dick Tracy)
What's New *****cat? (Some of my favorite actors but tries much too hard)
Casino Royale (1967) (a mess)
Chaplin (wanted to like it more)
Gandhi (ditto)
Brazil
Time Bandits
The Last Emperor (zzzzz)
Amadeus ("Pinto" as Mozart??)
When Harry....(though some love it...the Katz's scene IMO is contrived)
Any of the Marsha Mason movies (!!!!)
Mask (a former colleague: Comedy Sleeper of the Year)
Mannequin
Bloodhounds of Broadway
Deck The Halls
Meet The Kranks
War of The Roses
just about any of the Don Bluth animated movies

Goodfellas
Annie Hall
Broadway Danny Rose
Sting
Do pron movies count?
Only if they have cool names like Prince Of A L@bia...

10. #90
yeah, Lock/Stock and RocknRolla are also great, but Snatch has the best characters.

Turkish and Tommy, Cousin Avi, Bullet-tooth Tony, Boris the Blade, Mickey the Pikey, Vinny/Sol/Tyrone, the "squeaky" dog, etc...

and of course, Brick Top, who's just AMAZING. "No thank you, Turkish. I'm sweet enough."
Brick Top is an Al Davis lookalike.

Fixed.

And if you haven't seen Bright Lights, Big Titties, you're missing out.
Watched these in my Cinema class a few years ago, I thought Blue and Red were the best, tough choice between the two. Good call anyhow.
They both suck, White is better, Double Life of Veronika even better and Decalogue is an absolute masterpiece.

Toy Story is the Sargent Pepper of animated motion pictures. Groundbreaking and jaw-dropping technology, a fresh and innovative storyline, duplicated hundreds of times, never equaled.

You're telling me that if you're sentenced to life imprisonment on a deserted island and the judge lets you bring only 10 movies with you to get you through the next 40 years, you're bringing The Fantastic Mr. Fox. Siriusly?

I don't even think it's in the Top 10 of animated movies, honestly. Chicken Run is better if you must have a flick about delusional farm animals.
