    2 more turnovers

2 more turnovers that should never have happened. This might be the only game the jets won where they lost the turnover battle.
The punt fumble is inexcusable, on the coaching staff. The int was a horrible decision. Both turnovers cost them 14 points. If they don't get this problem fixed they are in for more heartbreak. I'm glad they won but they must take care of the ball and be more disciplined.

How is a knucklehead unable to catch a punt on the coaching staff? If Lennard was dinged up on the play before who else can they put back there since no one else on this team can catch.

Really? If leonhard was hurt, which he wasn't, McKnight should have been in there. Cro should not be fielding punts unless it's an emergency

McKnight has fumbled on more than one punt return this year, which is why he's not back there.

You can argue about who should have been back there, but Cromartie still has to catch the ball.

No one was saying anything about Cro being back there when he returned one in Indy last year and setup us up for a playoff win.

Rex in the presser said that Leonhard got the wind knocked out of him on the previous play and was unable to go field the punt.

We can argue till the cows come home about who should and shouldn't field the punt but the fact of the matter is whoever is sent out there to field the punt HAS TO CATCH THE BALL. POINT BLANK PERIOD.

I think too many Jets - and the likes of Cro in particular - get caught up with the idea of "making a play" when the sensible thing is to just to play it safe and reduce the risk of creating a big negative for the team. (Another example was Keller's ill-advised leap to gain an extra yard or two a few weeks ago, which knocked him out the game for a prolonged period).

Symptomatic of the culture that Rex brings, in my opinion. I don't think it's going to go away any time soon.

It's a lot easier to catch a kickoff...

That out of the way, he's had trouble with those too...

So has McKnight... PR and KR...

I think we tried Holmes once... And he muffed it... Last year...

But I find it hard to believe that we only have two viable options for PR's this year in Leonhard and Kerley...

I vote for Matt Mulligan in future endevours...

Do you think you are going to ever see cro fielding punts again? No, it was a bad decision putting him in in that situation, I would imagine they learn from that mistake

It's not about turning on anyone. It's about the coaching staff making a mistake. Cro's kr/pr history has not been good. Maybe if your up 2 td's you trot him out there. This is precisely the reason they lose the turnover battles. Many poor decisions.

Revis returned in college, let him go back and fair catch it - I take it he doesn't get much time with Westhoff.. not that we could ever risk him to a punt return injury

Catching punts has been an issue, last year we could only trust Cotch and Jimmy. Neither of whom were going to break a big one anyways. Kerley's our guy when he can suit up.

Jet "fans" have extremely short memories about fine mistake free coaching staffs like those of Kotite, Carroll, Coslet, Michaels, Walton, Holtz, Groh, Winner and the like
