    ** Christmas/holiday shopping thread **

What are you getting for others this year?

    What do you want?

I hooked up with a pretty good deal on a new Samsung 40" LED LCD for about $670 during Amazon's cyber Monday yesterday.

My wife likes Louis Vuitton so I got her a small "going out" bag. Also, her Keurig broke (I'm convinced she dropped it somehow) and I'm replacing it.

My daughter is still too young to appreciate Christmas. Still, my dumb wife wanted to go nuts for her. We got her a hotwheels-esque, battery powered ride-on Mercedes SUV. Ridiculous. She'll probably be too big for it by the time the spring comes.

As for me, I don't want anything. I'm impulsive by nature and buy (or lease) what I want. That way, no one can screw up and get me something gay like a Keurig.

You doing your Erotic Xmas Balls line again this year? My wife really liked that Santa's Knob For Your Nubbin vibrator you recommended last year. I really appreciate the care you put into your company's design. Plus, those things are meant to withstand the rigors of energetic love play.

Everyone I know that has a Keurig has had theirs break within a year. My parents have gone through two of them. They're nice little machines but the build quality blows.

My son is getting 40 cardboard boxes filled with spray foam and glued shut for him to stack and make forts out of. He's 2....so he'll be as happy as I would if someone bought me a Porsche for Christmas.

The daughter...she'll get some dolls and stuff. A cheap DS game and some Mario wall clings.

    LOL:D

Since I'm a man we're self-centered by nature, so I used to get pissed off when I got crappy gifts. Now I just get what I want and tell people not to get me anything. Besides, I have Skyrim now and I don't need anything else.

My kids though, are right in the time of their time where 'Christmas is every holiday rolled into one x 10' so its kind of a big deal. I have a hard time not overdoing it. Maybe it will prevent them from resenting my existence when they get older... :(

I am looking to score some Jets stuff, some watch stuff, some other things. My list is short this year.

My son is taking up teaching himself piano, so that's the direction his presents will go in.

My daughter is difficult. I might get her one of those gaming chairs so she can listen to music and rock in it (she likes doing that, much to the detriment of our couch).

Wife is getting something from Coach and a few baubles. But not from JT. :D

    get him some Fake Books

Hal Leonard publishes them with 1000's of Pop songs. It's called fake because you sort of fake the left hand by playing chords, and it shows the melody lines only. Very easy to play and he won't get bored too quickly by the stuff he really needs to work on to get good.

Thanks for this! He's kind of funny, my son. He's a very visual learner, so the book, while instructional, may not work for him just yet. He's actually watching people on YouTube play, learning the chord progressions by experimentation then playing for himself. Has most of Fur Elise down, large chunks of other stuff by Beethoven and Mozart as well. Wacky kid, I tell ya.

Plus, with a good grasp of the fake book, he'll be playing weddings and club dates in no time.
