Who is the most reliable target ? ? ?

Who is the most reliable target ?

Rex Ryan said he expects his wide receivers -- "our big guns," as he called them -- to have a completion rate of at least 50 percent. He said "everyone will say the magic number seems to be 60 percent," but he thinks that's unrealistic for an outside receiver. In fact, some of the top QB-WR tandems are above 60.

Turns out the Jets' wideouts, Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress, are only hovering around the 50 mark, give or take. Here's a breakdown of the Jets' WRs, TEs and RBs, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Keep in mind that TEs, RBs and slot receivers have higher rates because the passes are generally shorter:

    Player -- Recs -- Drops -- Targets -- Pct

    Holmes ...... 37 ........ 2 ........... 72 ....... 51.4
    Burress ..... 34 ........ 3 .......... 72 ....... 47.2
    Kerley ........ 17 ........ 0 .......... 19 ....... 89.5
    Turner ....... 5 .......... 1 ........... 10 ....... 50.0

    Keller ......... 40 ........ 1 ........... 71 ....... 56.3

    Tomlinson .... 25 ...... 3 .......... 35 ...... 71.4
    Greene ....... 20 ....... 0 ........... 23 ....... 87.0
    McKnight .... 11 ....... 0 ........... 12 ....... 91.2

    yup.

Sanchez developed great chemistry with Kerley early in training camp, and he's been gushing about him ever since.

in recent interviews, Mark's gone out of his way to praise Kerley for his work ethic and attention to detail in running routes and know his spots (hint-hint).

I going to say Keller. He has been solid all year and is open a lot more then he is targeted.

How can the stats posted have Greene with 0 drops and Santonio with only 2 drops ? I saw Santonio drop 2 balls this week alone and Greene certainly has more than 0

I think his security blanket is probably Keller who has started playing better rather than doing his usual dissapering act.
