Jets QB number.

How many posters here remember any Jet Qb wearing the #6.
I can only think of two person. Bubby Brister or Tony Eason and Ray Lucas,
both QBs were not very good.

Anybody remember the famous shovel pass from Eason to sam the man
in Carolina, now deceased. Then the erratic plays of Ray Lucas.
They were never successful in the NFL.

Why didn't Sanchez upgrade his # from College? now he's following
previous #6 QBs path. erratic plays, poor decision making,
careless with the football, int machine and inconsistent play.

SANCHEZ change your QB number or suffer the consequences.

Leave Ray Lucas alone. Guy is killing it on SNY. One of my favorite analysts.

Bill Demory also wore number 6

semi-famous sign at Shea

"He'll stay in your memory, his name is Bill Demory"

but seriously, I guess the OP is correct

Sanchez should have changed his number to 12 and he would be a combination of Stabler, Bradshaw, Namath and Brady by now

Thanks for the important and very necessary numerology thread

I think Kellen wore 6 in his first year if I remember correctly.

Also Sanchez has worn 6 since college in honor of his fathers fire station.

Number#12 belongs to Broadway Joe forever. Nobody will ever be able
to use #12 again, Why? it's a retired number in Jets organization. The
Same goes for number #13 Don Maynard.

My point is #6 is a bad number, my opinion
Sanchez should have upgraded to a combination of numbers

#7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 18 narrow it down to 7, 9, 14 scale to 7, 9 then pick one of two 7. but 6 turned around is 9 which is a better looking # on his
jersey.

Sanchez dude you play like a college baller change that # on your jersey.
man you and that number 6 suck.

given the jets history, can you even say there's ever been a truly "successful" number?

7 isn't any better than 6. they all have a history of mediocre players wearing them.

Maybe he could go with 0. No one has worn that yet, fresh start. C'mon Sanchez, change that loser number 6.

maybe instead of numbers, he can choose a letter!

"under center for the new york jets, letter A, Mark Sanchez"

that's it!
