Maybe it's his number. Let's remember Mo Lewis cursed us with Brady in that number.

Gotta be the number.

The JI Football Experts tell me that Bart Scott is doing a fantastic job, something about hitting the gap, and it's such a super-secret position that he's at his best when he doesn't get a single tackle.

I don't get it either, but then again, we're not Football Experts.

Look I think we've established that Bart's role is to take on blockers and blah blah blah, but he looks a step slower and all of a sudden can't tackle in the open field. He's regressing right before our very eyes :(

True. I think phrase "Cant Tackle" should be changed to "Cant Get Playing Time"

Bart Scott has been good when he's on the field. He's tied for 4th on the team in tackles and isn't usually on the field for passing downs. He's getting older, and losing the little coverage ability that he had. The coaching staff has compensated for this by adjusting his playing time.

He's had a few missed tackles, but it's not something I'd consider problematic. I also seem to remember most of the missed tackles occurring behind the line of scrimmage, which means that he did something right to get himself in that position in the first place.

He's still a good linebacker, and he remains very good against the run. People want to complain about everyone that doesn't play like an all-pro.

When you play the style of football that Bart Scott does you really do have a limited shelf life. He is digressing before our eyes and the Jets needs to find a replacement sooner rather than later.

Bart is fine. He isn't going anywhere. He will play out his contract.

Bart has never wrapped up when he tackles. Bart has never been good in coverage.

Too old, too slow.
Can't cover period and is looking slower every week. We are stuck with hm for one more year. Last year of his contract is guaranteed.

It's amazing how an incident that brought so much joy at the time, has haunted me and all Jet fans since.

I guess the old saying is true at times:

When i first read this I thought to myself "Did this guy watch the game today?"

Then i realized it was written before the game :D

The man showed up to play today. Made some fantastic tackles. And even played well in coverage.
