Looks like we are going to have a top 15 pick

Who do we target? Edge rusher? O-Line? Safety? WR? Trade back? Trade up?

    What do you guys think?

We need athleticism on both sides of the ball.

I still call for Michael Floyd in the first round.

pass rusher for sure, might as well take advantage of the good pick

We need so much help, may want to trade down if we can

Yep, looks like we'll most likely be picking in the 13-18 area.

With that said, here's the short list of guys I'd love to have.

    WR Malcolm Floyd
    OLB Courtney Upshaw
    OLB Melvin Ingram
    OT Riley Reiff
    OG David DeCastro

It's gotta be either a WR, OLB, or OL.

Agreed - lots of needs. The real question comes down to who can likely be an impact player from day 1? We have to go the FA route unless we can grab someone who is going to make a difference for this team right away . . .

I don't watch college ball - so I have no clue!

    My first round targets:

    WR Michael Floyd
    RB Trent Richardson
    RB Lamar Miller
    OL Reily Reiff
    OLB Courtney Upshaw
    ILB Vontaze Burfict

Would love any of those six. Burfict and Miller should both go later than that.

A safety would help too. I like Mark Barron. Let Rex identify his favorite player at either OLB or S and go get them. Barron, Upshaw, Brown, Ingram. Any of those guys would help.

    +1

I'd take the best available at one of those positions when the pick roles around to us somewhere around 16. If the board still looks stacked and deep, we could entertain trading down a few slots to pick up a 3rd rounder.

This is kind of a duplicate thread so I hope I'm not breaking the rules with a dup post, to everyone who thinks the Oline isn't a first round priority, just look at our depth chart:

    POS.....First.......................Second........ ............ Third............. Other
    WR....Plaxico Burress............Jeremy Kerley
    LT......D'Brickashaw Ferguson..Austin Howard
    LG.....Matt Slauson..............Caleb Schlauderaff
    C.......Nick Mangold
    RG.....Brandon Moore
    RT.....Wayne Hunter...........Vladimir Ducasse

    TE.....Dustin Keller...............Matthew Mulligan....Josh Baker
    WR....Santonio Holmes.........Patrick Turner
    QB.....Mark Sanchez............Mark Brunell............Kevin O'Connell
    FB.....John Conner..............Josh Baker
    RB.....Shonn Greene.............LaDainian Tomlinson.Joe McKnight...Bilal Powell

We are one line injury away from no season period. Has everyone forgotten what is was like without Mangold?
The Greatest WR, QB, RB or even OC for that matter, in the world is going nowhere without this getting fixed.
Sorry if it's not sexy, it's gotta be done.

    Hello Courtney.

Mr. Upshaw is going to look good in Jets green and white.

He is a 3-4 LB who the Jets could sorely use.

So many needs...and WR has jumped to the top of the list. Trading down isn't a bad idea.
