    Mock Offseason

Wish I was thinking about the offseason for the first time in February, not december....

Offensive Coordinator Tom Clements (GB QB Coach) or Callahan

Current Resignings: Pouha, Robert Turner, Maybin, Leonhard

    Restructure: Bart Scott

    Free Agency:

Michael Griffin: Antrel Rolle's contract is 5 years and $37 million, hopefully Griffin will come cheaper then that. He is young, fast and fills one of our 3 biggest needs. We have cap space so even if we overpay we need someone like him here.

Braylon Edwards: Good opportunity to reunite with him after he had a terrible year. Was productive on this team, will come cheap and hopefully is somewhat humbled after his disaster of a 2011.

Chad Henne: We don't want a mid season QB controversy and also don't want to stunt the possible development of McElroy. Henne will be cheap and while not a starter, is a decent backup.

Joel Dreesen (or Shockey) as a backup TE that can block and be used as a receiver.

1st Round: Courtney Upshaw OLB Ala: Ready to step in at OLB on Day 1. Has the size needed to play in our defense and has good pass rush ability as well as 3-4 experience.

2nd Round: Levy Abcock OT, OKSt: Huge OT that can come in and start at RT for us. Good run blocker with size to handle NFL Tackle. Can push Hunter the swing tackle role he is suited for.

3rd Round: Jeff Demps RB FLA: Track speed to come in and create some mismatches offensively. Can serve as our 4th/5th WR and potential Kick Returner if McKnight becomes the backup RB (which he should) as well as a 2-3 carry RB and WR out of the backfield.

4th Round BJ Cunningham WR MSU: Wont test off the charts, but good college production and good route runner with good size 6'2 215+.

5th Round: Robert Lester, S Ala: Good size for the position with experience in a pro-style defense. Along with Griffin and whomever we keep from our current safety group should be able to solidify the position.

6th Round: George Bryan TE NCst: Strong Blocker, good size at 268 lbs.

There will be no restructuring of Bart Scott's salary. He did that last year and was given guaranteed money in 2012 in return.

You mean Cavanaugh right? I don't want to get rid of callahan, either keeping him as Oline coach or promoting him to OC.
