Who gets to coach the senior bowl?

Any chance Rex gets to if the Jets don't make the playoffs? Trying to find a silver-lining here...

it's usually teams that are in rebuilding mode. The Bengals staff does it alot.

Thanks. So the NFL just selects the teams who get to coach? I thought there might be some formula to it, kind of like the waiver wire.

the league office determines the coaches without a formula. it used to be the 2 worst teams in the league. like this year it would possibly be the Colts and the Vikings. But it also has to be a coaching staff that hasn't been fired. last year it was the Bills and the Bengals.

    Who coaches the Senior Bowl?
National Football League coaching staffs coach the two Senior Bowl teams each year. In 2011, Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey and his staff coached the South team to a 24-10 victory over the North team, coached by Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis and his staff.

    How are coaching staffs determined?
Coaching staffs for the contest are determined by the NFL office.

Thanks. If things don't go well for the Jets this weekend, I'd like to see them coach one of the teams. Probably a long-shot, though, given their record.
