im surprised kyle arrington didnt make the list. hes the only corner i know thats as terrible as mccourty is. funny how theyre playing on the same team.

by the way those stats dont even include the jets / giants game where revis was beastin again. also those numbers dont include the pats / fins game where marshall was raping mccourty.

so the actual numbers look even better. better for revis. much worse for the two ****ty corners in NE

mccourty was clearly a flash last season but if the patsies are so darn bad against the pass why do they have a 12-3 record? how did schitty's vaunted passing attack do against them? not saying that mccourty is great or even the patsies but teams aren't exploiting them enough.

Surprised to see Brandon Flowers on that list. He was having a great season last year. Haven't been following him much this year.

Same here. I really like him. When I have watched him this year he has played awesome. Lets hope KC sees this and overreacts and cuts him. LOL.

I see McKelvin made the list. LOL. They were people that wanted to draft him over Revis. Thank god for Mangini.

With regards to McCourty. He hasnt recovered from the Braylon TD is the playoff game last year.

Stay away from those Rutgers guys. Except Ray Rice :).

Just like every team in the league sh*t on the Giants defense this year.

Only the Jets played bad against the Giants and Pats D.

Wins are the only thing that matters, unless of course, you are desperately looking for something else to hang your hat on for this season.

(and of course McCourty sucks and Revis is great. Hardly shocking news to anyone who follows football.)

(PS: Revis gets away with a lot - Jordan rules!) ;)

Congratulations to the Jets!!! Jets win again, Patriots lose!!!!!!

New England Patriots- 13-3 and #1 seed in the AFC
New York Jets- 8-8 or 9-7 and tied for the 9th seed in the AFC

Doesn't mean anything though, the Jets have a better corner than the Patriots who takes out one player on the other team's offense, nevermind the fact that the Patriots have an infinitely better quarterback and 9 better other weapons on the offense than the Jets, but at least the Jets have one guy that can take one player out on the Patriots. Meanwhile the Patriots get ready for another Super Bowl run, and the Jets are getting ready to probably get run out of Miami. Yippeeeee!

Oh yeah, the Patriots corners are SOOOO bad- this explains why Sanchez was able to just totally light them up in the two games they played against each other!

True. But nowhere near as much as the Patriot Rules or Brady Rules.

Now please leave our forum and find your own.

Second year corner who made the Pro-Bowl in his first year and struggled in 2011 in an injury-riddled season, playing in a secondary that has started 3 undrafted free agents and has by far the worst safeties in the NFL -> Bust! Hahaha, Cheats defense sucks, lol!

Third year QB who hasn't improved on his accuracy or his decision making and has consistently been rated in the bottom third of the league's QBs, while having the privilege of playing with a top 5 defense and running game for the first two years of his career -> Is developing and showing positive signs, held back by a terrible OC, bad running game and slow WRs. Could be a star in the right offensive system.

    Hmm...okay, I guess.

I would get rid of revis for picks and or other players .this would free up $$$ to make the rest of the team better. Spending 10-12% of you cap $$ on one player is not the way to build a team. Revis is a top tier player, but the talent drop off on the rest of the team is the issue. Yeah revis is great, but he can be beat, the issue is no pass rush from the d line, line backers too slow to cover TE's and slow safeties, hence the 80 plus yards to TE's. If we had better talent in the front seven, then revis will make this d crazy good.

What's the sense of a shut corner when the rest of the d cant cover anything.

    Very glad to hear this.

Originally, I was very pissed we didnt draft him and felt Bellicheat drafted him just to drive us nuts.

Maybe Bellichicken isnt a great defensive coach anymore. Rex can take a bad player and make them serviceable. Bellicamera doesnt seem to be able to do this anymore. :D

Another indication that BRADY carries that whole team :steamin:

Another reason why Sanchez should be on a VERY short leash

Just another indicator of how important CB's are in the NFL. The Jets and many of their fans seem to think it's the most important position on the field though.

Just accentuates the sheer and utter embarrassment of the Jets being the only team in the league not to out and out shred that pathetic pass defense when total journeyman jags just killed them.

In a season where our Jets got our a$$es handed to them not once, but twice, by the Patsies, I find it quite embarrassing that someone needs to run their mouths about ONE player being better than a NE player.

This thread epitomizes grasping at straws.

    Face the facts Jets fans...

The Jets SUCK, nothing better than a middle of the road average team. A team that could easily be beaten by the top 15 to 20 teams in the league.

Remember what Parcells said? You are what your record says you are. 8-8 or 9-7?? I'd say that's pretty damn disappointing.

We went from being a legitimate title contender to a very average team that is only a couple more bad players from being 4-12 again.

Very, Very, VERY disappointing. And have no choice but to look straight at Rex Ryan as the reason.

The relevancy of this thread is that Wilson is a better player, right now...

Last year, these threads were all too common but of course it was about how much Wilson sucks.

And I find it hilarious that some of McCourtys biggest supporters are in this thread calling it a sham.
