Lester of Bama is also a terrific safety...

Thats what they said about lamar woodley when he ran 4.7 area in the 40.

Upshaw is an every down player in the league....a guy who can stop the run, but also rush the passer on 3rd down.

    End of story.

CBNY, how long do you think Dwight Jones lasts? I know I am really high on him, but I'd like to know what the general consensus in the draft community is at the moment.

the faster he runs at the combine/pro-day workout the higher he's selected...much more polished than Little from last year- it'll be a matter of his 10yd/40yd and shuttle times to determine whether he's early second or bottom half of the round...

if Plax and Tone both are gone....needs to be Floyd or Jeffrey (or Blackmon if he falls by some miracle)

its not what i said about woodley. i was one of the first guys touting woodley around here. my eyes saw violence and explosion and short area quickness and man-strength in woodley. i just dont get all that with upshaw. but who knows i could be wrong.

Floyd in Rd one and Nick Toon in round 3. One of them will be a stud.

If you doubt me, just tune into the Rose Bowl at 5:07 EST and watch the size, strength, and hand that Little Al posseses.

WR all the way......even if Holmes is still in the fold.

2 wide receivers in the first 3 rounds, when we already have Holmes and Kerley and a number of other big time needs?

Woodley was a better pass rusher in college. He threw up 3/4 of Upshaw's college sack production in '06 alone. There were plenty of people who thought Woodley was one of the best overall players in that draft...It's just that his measurements hurt him on draft day.

I actually think Upshaw could be a Karlos Dansby type...OLB in a 4-3, ILB/OLB in a 3-4...A bigger version of Akeem Ayers last year...

That was a joke from what i saw. Dennard threw two punches and Jeffrey did the old push to the face mask in return which is what you commonly see in pushing matches.

Agree about woodley, my point was just that we don't need strictly a speed OLB, we need a player who can play all 3 downs and who can rush the passer, which upshaw is.

It will be Floyd most likely. Not sold on Nick Toon.

Dwight Jones & Marvin McNutt >>> Nick Toon

Personally I think Upshaw is overrated as a pass rusher.

I'm waiting it out between Curry and Perry when it comes to pass rusher...

Hell yes. We've tried for the last 10 years to do this through recycled trash and FA dust offs... and it's not worked. Enough's enough NY. Spend the first rnd pick on Floyd, and be done with it.
