John Abraham: Hall of Famer? (* MODS PLEASE DUMP POLL - THANKS!)

    Yes or no?

One of our best draft picks by the way, along with Hugh Douglas and James Farrior

MODS PLEASE DUMP THIS POLL - THANKS (should read Abes not Douglas)

No. Good player, not even a close HOF.

major WUSSY who wouldn't play a playoof game because he had a cold. Meanwhile Pennington played with a torn rotator cuff. I hate players who don't give a damn.

Disagree. One of the best blends of power and speed that you'll ever see.

He's going to finish somewhere around the top 10 all time in sacks. Considering all of the games he's missed, that's pretty damn good.

too inconsistent in terms of injury. He would be a terror, then he wouldn't play. Had the potential to be one of the greats pass rush wise but look at the leaders in sacks this year and compare those guys to Abe and tell me who belongs in the hall.

    Ware
    Allen
    Suggs

How does Abe compare to those 3 guys?

I voted no. But if he has a few more sacks on Eli today, I might reconsider. (He just got one)

John still has a few years left and is 18th in all time NFL sacks. He should finish with guys like Simeon Rice, Derrick Thomas, and Lawrence Taylor. If he had stayed healthy his whole career just imagine his #s. Also he is a DE hard to compare him to guy that played OLB. Of course they will have more tackles. His best comparison would be Simeon Rice.

    John 159 games 112 sacks 482 tackles 38 FF 19 PD
    Rice 174 games 122 sacks 392 tackles 28 FF 28 PD

If you think Rice is a HOF John should be.

Wish he was healthy enough to play in playoff game 9 years ago against the Raiders instead of getting of sick and sitting out. You're injured it's on thing, you are sick, hurl your chunks, get an IV and come back in.

Just when I think I've seen the worst that Schroy had to offer, he asks if John Abraham is a Hall of Famer.

No. Not at all. Not even borderline.

Is John Abraham a Hall of Famer? The fact that it's even a discussion is laughable.
