Pats once again go outside the rule book

08:02 AM ET 01.10 | Broncos fans may be hoping Josh McDaniels brings the Patriots the same kind of luck he brought to the Rockies. The way McDaniels' luck is going, if he were walking down one side of the street, it would be safer to scurry through traffic and blaring horns to get to the other side. "I think he can help us in a lot of different ways," Bill Belichick, the scheming New England coach, said at his news conference Monday. Once again, Belichick has found a loophole in the rulebook by hiring McDaniels as an offensive assistant coach the week before the Patriots play McDaniels' former team. And the NFL has plugged its ears and covered its eyes to a move that would seem to at least violate the spirit of fair competition

How is doing something that is permitted by the rules "going outside the rule book"?

  3. #3
Never thought about it that way but yes, something does seem quite fishy with that!! Probably someone in St Louis owed him a favor!!

    Wrong, you goon.

Greg Aiello is on record saying that there is no issue with this. Where was your outrage when this same situation happened 2 years ago?

"The Dolphins' defensive coordinator, fired at the end of the regular season, was hired by Dallas for their playoff run. He was brought in because Cowboys defensive line coach Todd Grantham was taking a job with the University of Georgia."

Not to mention, he was hired before they knew they would be playing the Broncos..

    Haters gonna hate, i guess.

This from a writer from Denver that writes for a team that cheated it's way to a Super Bowl by cheating on the salary cap (far worse than taking pictures, imho) and you post it here? For what purpose? Reinforcing the hatred on this forum for the Pats? Is that possible? Why not post the source of this crap?

This is about as lame as it gets. Heck, Rex and Rob shares scouting and scheme information when it is not contrary to their own teams interest. In fact, plenty of coaches who have friends on other staffs do this.

So....the loophole was the fact that he hired him? How is that exactly a loophole.

nothing wrong with hiring this failed moron poisoned fruit back. Probably, his insight will turn Tebow into a 400 yard passer against the "Can't Stop a Nosebleeds"

Is that your prediction? Because if it is, the pats are going to win by a landslide! I should bet the farm.

Where you been hiding, anyway? You seemed to have disappeared after the Jets finished 8-8 and missing the playoffs instead of winning the division as you predicted.

    Who cares!
The most important thing is that the Pats DO NOT win the Superbowl.
Each year that passes since spygate without a the Trophy is a testament to their cheating.
Would luv to see Brees get them in Indy.

1st real QB they faced since Manning & Big Ben.
