People wanted a guy who talked a big game against our hated rivals and would make promises to lead us into the promise land.

We'll, congratulations, you got him. And at least for me, he has overstayed his welcome. You'll be seeing things differently in a couple of years. Me? I'm a bit ahead of the curve.
Same here. I'm curved to where everyone else will be a year from now. We'll be 6-10, Rex will be gone, and so too will all the quality players that got us to two consecutive AFC Championship Games.

And if that's not bad enough, consider this:

The whole point of Mike and Rex and Mark was to get ourselves ready, primed, for the moment when Brady and Bellichick hang it up and the AFC East is there to be taken by the second-best team. It won't be us.

That's the fear. If we are right and the Jets have gone from a player/agent favorite destination to one that no one wants to be a part of, there goes all the quality missing pieces we need.

Combine that with the fact that most would say we're no longer a win-now-Super Bowl favorite and we play in a division with a weak team that still manages to get to 13 wins each year and it's not good. Not good at all.

We will still have Revis for one more year though.

Brady isnt going anywhere. Gronk and Hernandez have added years to his career. Unstoppable.

Rex had a bad year no doubt, but I'm confident he'll get things right next year. The mans still learning and hopefully he grows for the better from this. Maybe he'll talk less and run a tighter ship. Getting to 2 AFC championships wasn't a fluke. Some of you guys are bailing on him quicker than an Italian cruise ship captain.

Half this sh*t is made up or paraphrased out of context. Don't use quotes unless you can link to it. Why am I the first to call this out?

It's all accurate. Go to Google News, search "Jets turmoil", find all the articles including the Mason and McElroy comments.

"Rex Ryan is a very disrespectful bastard,"

"They got a big-mouthed coach, a big mouth and a big-bellied coach that talks too much and now it's finally time to shut up,"

    Some candidates for the list:
Schotty: "Mark goes on a hard count, (he probably) really does not need to do that. We jump offsides."
Schotty: "In reality, Mark kind of got fooled."
Ryan:"the stupidest play in NFL history.

Rex is going to get another year. No doubt about that. If he cannot prove himself as a legitimate NFL HC next year he will be gone. This mess can be fixed and if Rex cannot do it they will bring in someone who can. Lets see if Rex can learn from his mistakes.

Brandon Jacobs is a d-bag. This vagiants team has been doing an awful lot of talking this week. Kind of ironic when they complained about us.

"Ignore list" is the functional equivalent of squinting your eyes and clamping your hands against your ears while repeatedly chanting "la, la, la, la...".

    Hahaa yeah

The Giants have talked their fair share too this year, but it doesn't bother people for whatever reason.

When they lost to the Redskins in Week 1, Antrel Rolle said that the Giants would beat them 95 times out of a hundred. Then before their second meeting, he clarified that statement by saying, "actually 99 times out of a 100." they then lost again to the Redskins

There's a pattern there.... the ones talking, can't back it up...

He may be, but after all, he is the Jets' big brother, and anything he says should count on the list of things that Jets have said about each other imo.
