HA! If I could post links I would have.

Could have seen these guys play in a bar in Detroit, but my then girlfriend had a wedding to go to (in Detroit), and so..... Shoulda went to the concert instead!

Ian Gillian's little brother could SING....too bad he died WAY too young. Eric Singer's doing well though...playing with some band called KISS.

YEah....after I put it on, I realized this was more of an inside joke with buddies of mine who thought he was Ian's little brother. Then I thought "wait a minute, that's not the group of people that know that joke..."

then I realized "wait a minute, you didn't fix that joke nobody will get"

Thanks for keeping me straight AFC East...

Figured I was missing something . . . I know you are a big Badlands fan (as am I) and know perfectly well who Ray Gillen is.

Yes, we have talked about this band, and when I saw your comment I thought to myself "oops, wrong crowd on that joke?"

We had a buddy who always thought this was Ian's younger brother because of Ray's connection with Black Sabbath for the Born Again LP....we let it run for the longest time, but we figured it would come to light, especially since the last names are not spelled the same! We had to enlighten eventually.....

Deep Purple/Black Sabbath vocalist: Ian Gillan (not Gillian)

    Badlands/Black Sabbath vocalist: Ray Gillen

Speaking of Deep Purple, original singer, Rod Evans, formed Captain Beyond after getting sacked by Blackmore & Co. Their first album is very underrated. It features the vocally gifted Evans in fine voice, as well as brilliant drummer, Bobby Caldwell.
