Please define what Mr. Zuckerburg's "Fair Share" is for this IPO Profit of 16 billion.[/QUOTE]
I'm curious about something. We have a death tax in this country that hits people at the top income rates. So wouldn't the 1%ers be paying taxes on the money when they earn it then paying the government around 50% when they die? If true isn't that enough?
Australia's richest person is currently Gina Rynehart - who is not only on track to be the world's richest woman, but probably also the richest person on the planet. She's currently worth $20 billion.
She is a fine specimen of humanity - in recent days details of her family dealings have been revealed, and she has launched a bid for control of Fairfax Media, apparently in order to sway public opinion in regards to a national mining tax (she inherited some of the world's best mining tenements from her father) which if abolished would add another $5 billion to the kitty and obviously also stop the wolves from baying at the door. She is a secessionist (as in she wants her state to secede from the rest of Australia), anti-global warming advocate, morbidly obese, and also, as someone else put it: "an evil-money grubbing shrew". Her views seem to align with her getting more wealth than what she currently has.
So no doubt she deserves her bazillions and influence, as she has worked like a slave for it - thankfully her political viewpoint lines up almost exactly with those of one Rupert Murdoch, another born to wealth, so hopefully at some stage she might decamp herself to the United States as he thankfully did years ago. If such an eventuality eventuates I will say honestly, as an Australian, to America: "you're welcome!"
