Another day...another sparkling shutout road win in Hollywood with Johan following RA in flirting with a one hitter

On the O side...Ike continuing his return to the living with a 3 run blast...

Tough road trip ender tonite vs Kershaw but what the heck...

Tonight describes the teams mentality so well. Flawed, talented and resilient.

Incredible win. David Wright 3-5 with 4 rbi's including a 3 run HR and a walkoff single vs Papelbom. Let's put his numbers next to Sanduval on SF...this Mets team is the grittiest bunch of players I've ever seen.

Even though he's not on the Red Sox any more, it brings a smile to my face when I see that Papelbon blew a save.

I just pray the Mets find a way to pay Wright and keep him here. I would be truly devastated to see him walk away and sign with someone else.

    I think he's a 20 mil dollar player. 7 years 140 is the bottom but I think he gets more..Maybe 7 years 150.

6/120 or 6/130. I really don't see Alderson going any higher than 6 years. I think the years is going to be where they get caught up. The annual salary will be in the $20MM range no problem.

Good point...arguably the best story. I love what the Pirates are doing this year. As an aside, Ruben Tejada leads MLB in on base percentage the past 2 years with 2 strikes, at .341. And the Mets are 3rd in the NL in runs scored. If they can get Jason Bay back to platoon with Duda, and pick up a reliever or two at the trading deadline......look out!!

    seriously

why the frack did they bring back that rotten piece of crap Jason Bay.... I watched him "play" for Buffalo last night against AAA pitching and HE SUCKED... taking strikes right down the middle and hitting weak grounders

tonight vs Washington -- a rally killing DP in his first at bat (in which there were three Met hits and NO runs

and a pop up to CF too short to score Wright who ended up languishing at third base after arriving there with nobody out

Do we have to hope he crashes into another Frakking wall soon to get his frakking dead bat out of the Mets lineup. There were two other outfielders on the field for the Bisons who both looked way better than this stinking piece of crap

PLEASE GOD GET HIM OUT OF THE METS LINEUP FOREVER

Valdespin pinch hits for Bay in the 9th. 2 on, 1 out and Washington is ahead 2-0. Valdespin hits a 3 run bomb.
