Manning not expected to land with the Jets
NFL Network
Possibility of Peyton to Jets starting to look unrealistic

If Jets fans frustrated with Mark Sanchez were hoping the team would make a play for Peyton Manning — should the Colts release him, that is — well, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

At least that’s what NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora had to say Wednesday when he broke down the situation on “NFL Total Access.”

“I don’t think it’s very realistic at all,” La Canfora said. “Talking to general managers and other people around the league, they don’t think Tom Condon, Peyton’s agent, will ultimately put him with the Jets. You would have the situation with him and (Eli Manning), and there’s already that rivalry there. You have the tabloid culture in New York. You have a team that slipped, the running game wasn’t there. …

“You don’t have a lot of playmakers there right now. The defense slipped. And there will be other options, probably, that make more sense for Peyton Manning. I don’t see it happening.”

Somewhere, Sanchez just breathed a sigh of relief.
Dump. Merge, Lock. Bank.

New headline:

La Canfora thinks there's no chance Manning wants to play for the Jets. No facts to back it up.

"I dont THINK...etc etc"

Side headline: a lot of us agree.

Snarky ending to article = fail, Florio.

I just copied Rotoworld's headline. Blame them.

"Always was unrealistic."

Try:

If Manning can play at 90% he stays, restructures his deal, and does a Greenbay deal where he plays but mentors Luck for a year (unlike the Wisconson perv) and slowly Luck fades in and Manning stays on as coach.

If Manning can't make 90%, he looks at all the faded stars that tried to hang in there with other teams, Namath, Farve..., and stays on to mentor and coach Luck, maybe as HC (hell, he calls all the plays when he's in anyway.)

Ok, the betting window is open. I say it's going to be a non-event when it comes.

That's a fools bet, Newton. Manning isn't staying in Indy. That's been decided long ago.

LOL. Whatever La Confora says, believe the opposite.

Peyton is a lock if Woody, Tranny want to make it happen.

But in all seriousness, did you ever think he would come to the Jets? The Jets are a mess.

Looks like we are stuck with chuck and duck.

+1

He was never coming here, for many reasons, the biggest of which is Eli.

Jason LaCanfora is an IDIOT!

Really, who is this GUY? & why do anyone of us believe what he's "GUESSING" about?
The Jets have way more to offer than Miami on the Oline!
Jake Long got hurt last year, who's to say he won't again?

The Cardinals Oline is so good that their fresh new QB was knocked out real early.

The Jets might have the opportunity in this draft to get the best RT IN THE DRAFT.
You'd have DBrick, Slauson, Mangold, Moore (a year removed from hip surgery) & a young kick ass RT, mauler, with Hunter as a Vet backup.

Looking throughout the league, other than SF, the Jets would be the only other team with an Oline to keep Manning out of the hospital.
