Thread: Looks like all is well with Jets RT position.
Only a fool, or someone who hasn't paid one iota of attention to how Tanny operates to believe a single word that comes out of that guys mouth in the offseason.
I wouldn't even give him the "in the offseason" qualifier.

The only time to listen to anything Tanny has to say is immediately after he signs a player or hires a coach. Anything else that comes out of the guy's mouth is pure conjecture or gamesmanship.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...I just don't understand why his interviews are news. It's like asking a poker player in the middle of a hand how he feels about his cards.

Hunter will not be the starter in Week 1. If he is, Sparano is the best OL coach ever.

There's two other teams constructed similarly (although better talent-wise than the Jets) the Ravens and Niners.

All these teams do is get to the Championship games. If that's OK by you, then yeah that's what extending Sanchez means.

But until you have a top tier QB, you can't really be taken seriously. At least by me.
Yeah, because that's "all" the Niners do  They hadn't been to the playoffs in ten years.

Tanny eludes most of the questions he's asked by alluding to other, unrelated bits of mis-information.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Jets drafted Adams or Glenn in rd 1 and moved Hunter inside to one of the Guard spots. Robert Gallery was a terrible OT who became a pro bowler once he was moved to Guard. Hunter's pass protection wouldn't be such an issue anymore.

but he had no strength either. couldn't hold his base. i think that's why he was a backup.

    +1

He's not big, strong, or physical enough to run block at guard.

Well, really he's not big, strong, or physical enough to play in the NFL.
