    Great name for a Kicker.[/QUOTE]

Or, Whyatt Wright... I believe he played for the Bills?

Freakin' hysterical. I like imagining old school names that actually might have been back in the day:

    Punchy McClintok

    Saltwater O'Gravvy

    Rosemont Huncklebus

Not to be confused with Doots MacFarlane, of course.

    No question.

Not to derail this fine thread, but this makes me think of real player's names that are perfect for a football player:

    Pat Angerer
    Michael (I think) Stonebreaker
    Rock Cartwright
    I.M. Hipp

How could these guys not have grown up be be football stars? There was a prominent LB from Michigan a few years ago, had a great name, can't recall it.

    OK, back to jackassery:

    Phillip "Sloppy Shorts" Van Nostrand

That must be the best football name ever. The stupidest was a kicker from the 60s or 70s named Horst Muhlman. I would always laugh when they announced his name.
