Got to Love the NY Press and Jets FO

Cracking up watching NFL network and ESPN.... most of the time when they go around league they get comments from players, ex players, team officials.. Great when the have to deal w/ news out of New York Jets... Cimini reporting... Manesh reporting......

Unnamed Jet players calling for Jets to go out and get Peyton Manning.... very disappointing...

LT on Nfl network explaining how Manning would be a great fit for New York Jets and Rex Ryan..... Peyton would be great w/ Rex.. Rex doesn't get involved at all in the offense... This is wonderfull..... Do I have a Head Coach or two defensive coordinators..... Then loses control of his locker room. appoints his own captains based on talent vs leadership...

Boy Rex sure has some making up to do for last season! For the first time in a whille, starting to doubt the direction of this franchise...

I always thought Tanny was a bit shaky, but compared to what they had in years past, seemed somewhat promising.

Best quote of night, was from LT on whether he and manning could play on same team.... He said mark, would learn alot, but to ask a young player in his prime, who has accomplished with Sanchez has done is a bit much. Feels like Sanchez should request release and trade.....

I would blame sanchez one bit... As a matter of fact... Why wait.... ask for it now...... Run, don't walk away for this sad excuse for a franchise..

another great leak... Jets to gauge if Manning is interested in them!!! lol...

there you go..... Where's Bart Scott's middle finger when you need it!!!

Woody, Tanny and Rex ..... so much for team unity and loyalty...

well atleast Rex has a new OC to point finger at.

Instead worry about kissing Peyton's ass.. find a player out there who will put an end to career.. No Bounty of course

You're right that this organization has some serious leaks.

And that little weasel Mehta is ripe to exploit them.

Every move the organization makes is preceded by six MSM articles giving away the Jets intentions. You don't see this from well-run organizations. Everybody knows our FA targets already, everybody knows who we covet in the draft. And now this Manning debacle is going to make us look foolish and desperate, because there's zero chance he would even want to come here.

Someone within the org is feeding the media slime.

Can't wait till the draft....... it so easy to predict.....

Will save this one!!!! probobably have 85% accuracy

round 1. Reach for a Safety

round 2.. TE (so we can model the Patriots- this has a 50/50 shot of being able to block)

round 3. Another RB Mr T can ever have enouch RB.

round 4.. most likely used in trade to move up in round 2 to get a TE

round 5. most likely used in trade to move up in round 3 to get a RB

    round 6. QB -

    round 7. Punter....

    LOL

    Let him.

If this kid is so mentally weak that he can't handle the Jets pursuing one of the greatest QB's to ever play the game, then see ya later.

Sanchez has proven to me a mediocre QB thusfar with questionable accuracy and a penchant for backbreaking turnovers. Oh, but he has 4 playoff wins so let's forget all of that and pledge our undying allegiance to him for at least the next 2-3 years.

Afterall, he's arguably the 2nd best QB in Jets history.

LOL, like that's saying a goddamn thing.

It is not being mentally weak. It is insulting. No one cam blame the jets for kicking the tires on Manning. But last week it was "Sanchize is our qb"

This is not the same thing as cro last year when the FO put him on the back burner while they went after Aso, Cro was a FA to be.

And this "in the press" quest to get a B/U to challenge and push Sanchez is demaeaning.

It seems the whole team FO included is taking on the personality of its coach.
loud, in your face and devil may care.

I don't think mentally weak has anything to do with it. it's like your boss telling you that you're our guy, but then you see your position on monster.com. if Peyton comes he's gone. it will not be an open competition like with Campbell or henne. I would be pissed if I were him

When the Jets sign Peyton, LT will be coming right back.

Peyton and LT will be scary. Peyton, LT, Holmes and Keller is dynamic.

We will miss Sanchez' bootleg passes in playoff games. But we will love Peyton being able to win from the pocket.

This might just be a guise by the Jets to grab some headlines since this is now a town dominated by Giants. There is no way they get Manning--but for about a week they will be in the news.

The Jets "pursuing" Peyton Manning is like me "pursuing" buying a sea side mansion in the Hamptons. I can look all I want. But the bottom line is, I don't have the resources to buy it.

This "pursuit" of Manning is nothing more than a very weak attempt to keep the Jets in the "news" with something other than another embarrassment. Its never going to happen for a least a dozen legitimate reasons.

The delusion CONTINUES, but that should be no surprise here.

Not only that but when it comes down to it, the seller is going to refuse to sell you the house even if you do come up with the money.

    How retarded is this?

    LT is a leak?

He's not a Jet, he's not under contract. Whatever he says has nothing to do with the Jets other than he was here before and ca speak on the Jets.

We don't have a clue if the Jets are really interested in Manning or not, other than a quote from what might be a practice squad player saying it could be great.

And this makes people doubt the FO, CS, direction etc.

Take a seat and relax already. ESPN is talking out of their asses, why add to it.

And you know that they're pursuing him how? Crystal ball? Know someone?

There is no embarrassment at being a Jet, that comes out of a limited group of morons who would be embarrassed it the Jets had gone 12-4.

And if they were interested, there is no reason it couldn't happen, other than Manning not wanting to play in this area or wanting to play somewhere else.
